Hi I am coach Erin and I am so excited to be joining the amazing Piranha coaches this year. I grew up in the Pinehurst neighborhood and spent the majority of my childhood and young adult life on the pool deck on Lewiston. I joined the team when I was 10, my first job was as a desk clerk at Pinehurst, then I became a lifeguard and swim instructor and eventually became assistant manager when I was in college. I started coaching swimming when I finished my own swimming career in college and I coached the Piranhas in the late 1990's. I am a high school teacher and I coached the team at St. Lawrence Academy and then at Bellarmine, where I currently teach. One of my favorite things about coaching swimming is being able to see the joy on the face of a swimmer when they "get it" and see all of their hard work pay off. There are so many things that make being a Piranha special, but I think that ultimately, we are a family and we have FUN! I am looking forward to making this 2020 "season" special and memorable, even if it is not what any of us expected. Go Piranhas!
Hi I'm Coach Steph, a.k.a Coach Chef, and I can't wait for another amazing Pinehurst summer to start. This is my 4th year coaching and sadly, 2 summers ago I graduated out after swimming on the team for 13 memorable years. One of my favorite things about coaching is interacting with all of the kids and watching them grow as swimmers and people too. My favorite thing about being a Piranha is that we are so much more than a swim team, we are a family.
Hi! I am Coach Megan, and I am so stoked for another amazing year at Pinehurst. I have been a swim coach for the past 4 years, and a member of the swim team for over 10 years. Being a coach is such a great experience. I love seeing the joy on the kids' faces when they are able to better their stroke or dive as a result of our coaching. My favorite thing about the Piranhas is the strong bonds formed; we are a family.
Assistant Coach - Tyler
My name is Tyler Gallis. This is my second year coaching Pinehurst. I am also a freshmen football coach for the Saint Francis Lancers. I attended Bellarmine College prep where I played football and ran track. I will be continuing college at West Valley in the fall. I swam for the piranhas from 6 years old to the year I graduated. One could say I bleed green. I am looking forward to making the most of what we can do with this limited season.
